Finally someone to play with!
Ribbon took her brief maternity leave and Encore the Varmint (Sheltie) found his owner to be a very poor replacement as a playmate. Fortunately Ribbon is back in the game and now, with snow on the ground, life has improved dramatically for The Varmint.

Encore's Debut
Encore went into the ring for the first time last weekend and reminded me that gaiting is not a default behavior ; you have to teach it! Here he is getting a little preshow sweet talk from his Auntie Zana, who took him into the ring for regular classes. (He won his 6-9 class). He will be primarily owner-handled but there will be occasions when his breeders will ask Z to present him.
He will go back into the ring next at the Thanksgiving cluster in Maryland; no sure yet which days. Might be fluffier then!
